I am a recovering high school math teacher turned young adult fiction author, penning stories full of humor, hope and heart. I’ve been married to my fantastic husband for over 30 years, and we have two amazing children and one gorgeous fur baby. I’ve been writing novels for over seventeen years and am represented by the incredible Eva Scalzo at Speilburg Literary.

Specifically, the North Carolina Soccer Hall of Fame. Inducted in 2026, joining the ranks with legends like Mia Hamm and Anson Dorrance. He’s been coaching for years and I’m a proud supporter. Good thing I love soccer!

Am I superfan? Maybe. But I have watched every season (some several times) and am an avid fan of the On Fire podcast. I played Survivor with my Calculus students. I wrote a novel loosely inspired by the show which required extensive deep dives into the show’s production, contestants, rules…. And I’ve applied a few times to be a contestant.
